Crowded, crooked, or misaligned teeth are the most common reason Eastvale families come to us for orthodontics. Braces move teeth into better positions and correct how the bite meets. We treat children, teens, and adults from our Chino office, and consultations are free.
Say Cheese Kids Dental & Orthodontics provides braces for children, teens, and adults from its office at 12413 Central Ave, Chino, CA 91710 — there is no Eastvale location. Treatment covers crowding, spacing, overbite, underbite, and crossbite, with traditional braces, ceramic braces, and clear aligners available depending on the case. Consultations are free. Call (909) 479-6030.
The right time to start depends on dental development rather than age alone. Three broad stages cover most patients.
Treatment while the jaw is still growing, usually after an evaluation around age seven. Most children need only monitoring at that stage, but where crowding, a crossbite, or protruding front teeth are present, acting early can genuinely change the outcome.
The most common time for full treatment, once the permanent teeth are through. Bite correction, crowding and spacing all handled while growth still helps. Colour choices at every adjustment visit, which matters more to teens than parents expect.
No upper age limit. Adults commonly come back because crowding returned years after earlier treatment without retention. Ceramic brackets are a popular choice, and gum health is assessed and stabilised before any teeth are moved.
Braces apply steady, light pressure so teeth move gradually into planned positions. These are the concerns they most often address.
Not enough room in the arch for teeth to line up, so they overlap or twist. Crowded teeth trap plaque where a brush cannot reach, which makes this a hygiene problem as much as an appearance one.
Gaps between teeth, either from teeth being narrower than the arch or from a tooth that never developed. Closing spaces is one of the more predictable things orthodontics does.
Upper front teeth covering too much of the lower ones, or sitting well forward. Teeth that protrude noticeably are considerably more likely to be chipped or knocked in a fall.
Lower teeth closing ahead of the upper ones, usually related to how the jaws are growing relative to each other. Timing matters more here than in almost any other case — see Phase I and Phase II treatment.
Upper teeth biting inside the lower ones, at the front or on one side. Widening the upper jaw is far easier while a child is still growing, which is why crossbite treatment is one of the genuine reasons to start early.
Teeth that are rotated, tipped, or sitting out of the arch. Often combined with one of the above rather than occurring alone.
An examination with imaging is what establishes which of these apply and whether treatment is worth starting now or later.
An examination of the teeth, bite, and jaw development, plus a conversation about what you want changed. Free, with no obligation to proceed.
Photographs, a digital scan, and imaging where needed. Then a plan setting out what moves, in what order, and what it costs — agreed before anything starts.
Brackets and wires doing the work, with adjustment visits every few weeks. Consistency at this stage affects the result more than anything we do in the chair.
Retainers hold the corrected position. Teeth drift for life without them, and the first year after treatment is when relapse happens fastest. This stage is not optional.
What Eastvale families can expect from orthodontic treatment here.
Recommendations depend on dental development, not age alone. For some children the honest answer is to wait and watch, and we will say so.
Metal brackets, ceramic brackets, or clear aligners including Invisalign and Angel Aligners. Which suits depends on the movements needed and how consistent the patient will be.
The same team treats all three, so families often have more than one person in treatment at once.
Retainers, monitoring, and routine dental care in the same practice — orthodontics is not handed off elsewhere once braces come off.
Orthodontic treatment is provided in coordination with our partner orthodontists, with general dental care overseen by Dr. Joshua Kohan, DMD. Read what local families say on our patient reviews page.
